Energy efficiency

Transposition of Directive 2012/27/EU to the new Energy Act (EA-1) identified range of measures and mechanisms to promote energy efficiency, and in the same time committed suppliers of electricity, heat and gas, as well as liquid and solid fuels to final consumers to ensure energy savings among final consumers.

At the same time, the new task were assigned to the Energy Agency with regard to monitoring and evaluation of implemented measures and achieved energy savings, and also to prepare recommendations to obligated parties to ensure maximized energy savings. Within this deliverable, the agency will establish a mechanism for monitoring and publishing all energy savings achieved among obliged parties, prepare recommendations on how to successfully achieve the goals, and analyse effectiveness of individual energy services providers in achieving the objectives.
